CHRISTUS Health in Winnsboro, TX seeks a Per Diem LPTA to perform treatments, instruct patients, and assist the Physical Therapist in testing, evaluations, and complex procedures. You will carry out corrective exercise and instructional segments under PT guidance, contributing to patient care plans and discharge readiness.

This role offers multiple shifts, per diem as needed, and requires an Associate Degree, LPTA license in Texas or compact, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree required.
• LPTA License in the state of employment or Compact required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Able to independently deliver a treatment plan addressing identified problems and discharge needs.
• Assists with diagnosis mix to facilitate independent treatment throughout the facility.
• Demonstrates skilled expertise when monitoring patients during treatment.
• Applies reasoning and judgment to skilled observations and reports adverse reactions to physician, supervising PT and/or nursing.
• Reports findings to supervising PT and solicits involvement when needed.
• Demonstrates knowledge of modalities and their contraindications.
• Seeks research-based treatments and applies them to daily treatment.
• Knowledgeable of wound care supplies and current protocols.

Summary:

Performs treatments and provides exercise instruction and demonstration for patients. Assists the Physical Therapist during patient testing, evaluations and complex procedures. Carries out a program of corrective exercise and treatment for assigned patients, as determined by evaluation by a Physical Therapist. Instructs patients on segments of the program.

Responsibilities:

• Able to independently deliver a treatment plan that addresses identified problem(s), deficits and discharge needs and assists with decreasing LOS
• Actively seeks out a diagnosis mix to facilitate ability to independently treat throughout the facility
• Demonstrates skilled expertise when monitoring patients during treatment
• Able to apply reasoning and judgment to skilled observations and reports adverse reactions to physician, supervising PT and/or nursing
• Reports findings to supervising PT and solicits their involvement when needed
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of the use of modalities and their contraindications
• Actively seeks research based treatments and applies to daily treatment
• Knowledgeable of available wound care supplies, current protocols

Requirements:

• Associate Degree
• LPTA License in the state of employment or Compact required
• BLS
