Your Impact

Under the supervision of a physical therapist, you will assist in performing assessments, determining, revising, and implementing treatment plans to identify, prevent, remediate, and rehabilitate acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain.

Your Role

• Provide physical therapy interventions under a plan of care written by a physical therapist
• Perform therapy interventions utilizing techniques and skills appropriate for the patient population
• Document treatment interventions
• Coordinate activities of rehab aides, students, and other support personnel
• Communicate and document information relevant to patient care to ensure effective, efficient delivery of quality service and maximum reimbursement
• Demonstrate efficient utilization of products, supplies, equipment, and time to ensure timely completion of duties and promote smooth operation of the department. Meet productivity targets
• Actively employ established safety precautions and procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients, guests, and co‑workers

Qualifications

Graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistant Program from an accredited American Physical Therapy Association school, associate's degree required. Connecticut state licensure required.
