Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, and WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems.
• Navigate computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing info; collect payments when required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport as required.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training courses timely.
