Job summary

The Ohio Pharmacy Solutions Group is currently recruiting licensed Pharmacy Technicians for roles in Ohio. Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will help dispense medications and support inventory, labeling, and compounding tasks in a Long Term Care setting.

Responsibilities include order entry, packaging, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with LTC standards. Interest in automated packaging and narcotics handling is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ohio licensed Pharmacy Technician
• National Technician Certification required
• Long Term Care pharmacy experience a plus
• Knowledge of FrameworkLTC a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare prescriptions for dispensing by the pharmacist by retrieving, counting, pouring, weighing, and at times mixing medication.
• Make requisitions for drugs and supplies with professional guidance from the pharmacists.
• Receive and maintain inventory of drugs and chemicals and ensure their security.
• Verify that information on the prescription is complete and accurate.
• Print prescription labels and package prescriptions according to Long Term Care policy standards.
• Prepack medications using unit dose sealers.
• Monitor/document prepack product expiration dates and lot numbers appropriately.
• Perform other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting.
• Assist in automated compliance packaging dispensing process.
• Assist in Narcotic Room activities to prepare Controlled Substance prescriptions according to Long Term Care Standards and Pharmacy Policy and Procedures.
• Assist in preparing non-sterile compounded products.
• Assist in preparing sterile compounded products after appropriate training.
• Enter medication orders into pharmacy operating system. Knowledge of FrameworkLTC a plus.
