Job summary

Meijer is hiring a licensed Pharmacy Technician to assist in the pharmacy, interact with patients, and support clinical services. You will input prescriptions, verify insurance claims, and stock medications while maintaining patient confidentiality and a high standard of service.

• Registered and/or licensed as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients at various service points of contact.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to the customer.
• Input customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
• Retrieve the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Order prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stock prescription medication.
• Maintain excellent organization to prioritize workload.
• Communicate effectively and serve as an agent of change.
• Keep the pharmacy clean and orderly for a professional appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
