Job summary

Armitage Pharmacy in Logan Square, Chicago, is seeking a full-time licensed pharmacist to join our independent community pharmacy team. You will run the pharmacy during your shift, verify and dispense prescriptions, counsel patients, supervise technicians, and maintain accurate controlled substance records.

We offer a competitive hourly rate ($55-$60), flexible schedule, and direct access to ownership with a supportive staff.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois pharmacist license (RPh) in good standing.
• Pharm.D. or B.S. Pharm.
• Retail or community pharmacy experience preferred.
• Immunization certification a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Reliable, patient-first, comfortable in a busy independent pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and dispense prescriptions accurately and safely.
• Counsel patients on medications, side effects, storage, and interactions.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and daily workflow.
• Maintain compliance with Illinois Board of Pharmacy, DEA, and HIPAA requirements.
• Handle controlled substance recordkeeping and inventory.
• Give immunizations (certification preferred).
• Work with prescribers and insurance plans to resolve issues.
