Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications with precision, ensuring accuracy and adherence to physician orders.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapies, including specialized care for geriatric and critical care management patients.
• Provide expert consultation on medication management, including immunizations.
• Utilize pharmacy software (PioneerRx) and electronic health record (EHR) systems to document prescriptions, monitor inventory levels, and manage medication records securely in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Perform patient education on medication administration, potential side effects, and proper usage techniques while fostering a compassionate patient service experience.
• Manage inventory efficiently by tracking stock levels, ordering supplies, and ensuring the availability of essential medications.
• Collaborate with medical teams on medication therapy plans, contributing clinical insights for optimal patient outcomes in acute care environments.

Qualifications

• Valid pharmacist license with current registration in South Carolina.
• Prior experience in 340B pharmacy in partnership with a doctor's office preferred.
• Experience with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and pharmacy software platforms preferred; specifically eClinicalWorks and PioneerRx
• Familiarity with immunizations administration.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to perform thorough patient assessments and provide clear medication guidance.
• Knowledge of inventory management practices to ensure medication availability while minimizing waste.
