Job summary

Aptive Environmental in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a Licensed Pest Control Technician to join our on-road service team. This full-time role covers routes around Fort Lauderdale, reporting to the Fort Lauderdale office once weekly.

You will run a daily route, maintain trucks and equipment, record treatments, and apply pesticides in compliance with state and federal laws. Overtime is available, and a company vehicle is provided for take-home use.

Qualifications

• A US driver’s license valid for a minimum of 3 years is required.
• A clean driving record is required (no more than one moving violation in the past year and no more than 2 moving violations in the past 4 years).
• A drug test and background check will be performed on all new hires.
• Must hold a current commercial pesticide applicator license or certification for general pest control in the state where the work will be performed.

Responsibilities

• Running a daily route where you will be resolving customer pest concerns and issues
• Maintaining truck and equipment in proper working order
• Keeping accurate records of treatments provided
• Mixing, applying, and working with pesticides following state and federal laws
• Serve as the subject matter expert for your customers by implementing the most efficient and overall best pest solution for each customer's individual needs
• Maintain and service all route customers according to company standards and procedures
• Advise customers of potential problems
• Carry a product backpack that weighs approximately 50 lbs
• Work schedule includes every other Saturday

This is a full-time Licensed Pest Control Technician position located on the road in the area around Fort Lauderdale, FL. This position will report to our office in Fort Lauderdale, FL, once per week. The individual we are looking for is also someone that enjoys working in a team environment and excels working at an individual level.

• $17.50 - $21.50 an hour
