You are kind, empathetic, compassionate, and thick skinned. You care deeply about the well-being of others in their most vulnerable state and you have the ability to not take things personally. You can build warm, caring and therapeutic relationships with our patients but still set and enforce limits with regards to what is and what is not acceptable behavior at SVH.
You are excited to partner with a multidisciplinary team who have deep knowledge in trauma and therapeutic approaches, and about being part of a culture that treats patients with compassion, dignity and respect. You’d rather respond to challenging behavior by working with our patients to solve the problem than administering a disciplinary consequence.

You have no time for drama and are willing to have direct and honest conversations with colleagues. You are human, so every once in a while you fall down when executing on the job, and then you ask for help. You take your work seriously and are able to recognize when you need to care for yourself. You are nice, kind, caring and honest.
