Job summary

The Sans Souci Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist to assess referred patients and develop rehabilitation plans. You will administer treatment programs and set goals aligned to each patient’s capacity, with ongoing documentation of progress and outcomes.

You will also educate patients and families, supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants, collaborate with all disciplines to ensure best patient-centered care, and maintain confidentiality and professional

Qualifications

  • Must have graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapist college or university.
  • Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
  • Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not required.
  • Well versed with documentation writing.

Responsibilities

  • Assess referred patients requiring rehabilitation and provide direct patient care.
  • Establish and administer a treatment program with goals based on capacity and tolerance.
  • Set realistic and achievable goals for patients and document condition progress.
  • Educate patients and families using appropriate therapy methods.
  • Oversee and supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants.
  • Collaborate with all disciplines to provide patient-centered care.
  • Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and confidentiality; adhere to HIPAA and Residents' Rights.
  • Perform duties assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.
