Job summary

Vision Associates, part of EssilorLuxottica, is seeking a full-time optical assistant to provide patient-focused eyewear fitting, measurements, and prescription processing in our Flemington, NJ location. The role emphasizes accuracy, high service standards, and teamwork with doctors and staff.

You will handle eyewear fitting, stock management, and POS operations while delivering exceptional patient experiences. Weekend/evening availability is expected to support business needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Active state optical licensure; must maintain license.
• Strong customer service, communication and team skills.
• Solid basic math skills.
• Sales-oriented with a service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Custom fits glasses and inputs prescriptions into lenses.
• Lead with optical knowledge and support peers.
• Take/record measurements, adjust eyewear to spec.
• Ask open-ended questions to understand patient needs.
• Assist peers with complex product requirements.
• Identify issues and resolve; ensure patient satisfaction.
• Multitask and manage time with competing priorities.
• Operate the POS and input patient data accurately.
• Ensure on-time delivery and follow up for referrals.
