Position: Full‑Time

The Licensed Optician delivers the brand value proposition and helps establish LensCrafters as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community. They create exceptional value in the lives of customers by delivering legendary customer service and perfectly crafted high‑quality eyewear that exceeds expectations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Welcome all customers and set expectations with them.
• Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescription in lenses.
• Act as a leader in optical acumen.
• Take and record measurements, accurately adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensuring finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs.
• Assist team with complex product needs and prescriptions.
• Accurately and thoroughly use technology despite time pressure and customer volume, demonstrating exceptional product knowledge and appropriate use of tools.
• Proactively explore root causes of issues, forward‑think, and ensure customers are satisfied and expectations are exceeded; solution‑driven.
• Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities.
• Strive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies.
• Take pride in store appearance, helping to keep the store clean, attractive, and organized.
• Inform management of safety opportunities; demonstrate safe work practices.
• Resourceful, self‑motivated with a desire for continual learning, improvement, and results.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management.

Basic Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• State licensure.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener, and team builder.
• Knowledge of current store merchandise.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Awareness of current fashion trends.
• Selling skills – ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet.
• Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators.
• Embrace new technology and change.

• Previous customer service and retail experience.
