Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is actively seeking a per diem Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility in New York. The role involves selecting therapy activities per the supervising OT's plan, assisting residents with daily tasks, monitoring progress, teaching use of adaptive equipment, and collaborating to refine rehab plans.

Eligible candidates are graduates of an accredited OTA program with current NY State OTA licensure; we offer mentorship, weekly pay, flexible

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OTA program.
• Current New York State OTA license.

Responsibilities

• Select therapy activities per supervising OT's plan of care.
• Assist residents in carrying out daily activities.
• Monitor residents' progress in therapy activities and document outcomes.
• Teach residents how to use assistive devices to aid daily function.
• Collaborate with the OT to establish a rehabilitation plan.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members.
