Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • LPN: Valid Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse license.
  • RN: Valid Ohio Registered Nurse license.
  • Current CPR certification (American Heart Association preferred).
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Willingness to care for older adults and commitment to the organization’s mission.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Conducting medical assessments, monitoring vital signs, and responding to changes in condition.
  • Supervising and guiding nursing assistants, ensuring compliance with standards of care.
  • Assisting with elder admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Documenting care in electronic health records (Point Click Care) and maintaining accurate clinical records.
  • Communicating with families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure elders’ needs are met.
  • Participating in the development and implementation of care plans that address elders’ physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
  • Educating elders and their families about medications, treatment plans, and wellness practices.

Status: Full-Time, Part-Time
Department: Nursing

Position Overview:

As an LPN/RN, you will provide high-quality nursing care that adheres to federal, state, and local standards, ensuring elders’ safety and well-being. You will assess, monitor, and deliver treatments while guiding and supervising nursing assistants. Key responsibilities include:



  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing.

  • Proficiency in Point Click Care and Microsoft Office software.


Physical and Environmental Requirements:


  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and stretching for up to 75% of an 8 or 12-hour shift.

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs constantly.

  • Exposure to bodily fluids, infectious diseases, and sharp instruments.

  • Ability to push and pull medication carts weighing up to 300 lbs.

  • Work in a variety of environments (clean, cluttered, organized, unsanitary, etc.).


Supervisory Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and guide CNA's, including scheduling, training, and monitoring performance.
