Job summary

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health seeks a licensed nursing assistant for our Keene NH Clinic to assist with patient care under supervision of registered nurses. The role involves ADLs, vitals collection, and maintaining a safe, clean environment while supporting visitors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine patient care activities under RN supervision, including ADLs, data collection (vital signs, height/weight), and documenting results.

• Greet visitors, answer phones, and support staff and new coworkers.
• Assists in learning department duties for new staff.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Overview

Addiction Treatment Center

40 hours per week, Monday-Friday.

Performs various patient care activities and related nonprofessional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Assists nursing service personnel with a variety of patient care duties. Possesses direct access to drug products and secure medication locations in order to manage the storage, handling and disposal of medications consistent with the Medication Storage and Handling Policy.

Position is located in our Keene NH Clinic.

Responsibilities

• Assists with routine patient care activities under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, including, but not be limited to, performing ADL’s, obtaining clinical data, including vital signs, heights and weights, utilizing universal precautions, collecting specimens or performing point of care testing and recording results in medical record, etc.
• Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment by keeping the hallways clear of excess equipment, emptying linen bags when full, etc.
• Assists visitors and answer telephones.
• Assists new co-workers in learning the work of the department.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

• High school graduate required.
• Must demonstrate keyboarding skills and be familiar with computer use.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.

Required Licensure/Certifications

• Licensed Nursing Assistant in the State of NH required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required.
