Southern New Hampshire Health in Manchester, NH is seeking a Licensed Nursing Assistant for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit. In this role you provide comfort and support to patients in post-operative recovery, monitor vital signs, answer questions, assist with transfers, and help ensure safety throughout the care process.

You will work in a setting with 12-hour shifts; the start time is 6AM for this position, and a Nursing Assistant License in NH plus BLS are required, with HUC certification

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Nursing Assistant License in New Hampshire.
• BLS certification required. HUC certification preferred.

• 6AM-9AM start time

The staff offers preoperative assessment and education, intraoperative support services, operative/procedural care, and post operative/post procedural care. These services are provided in a safe and caring environment that is tailored to the individual patient.

About the Job:

As a Licensed Nursing Assistant in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, you will play an important role in providing quality patient care. You will be responsible for providing comfort and support to patients during their post-operative recovery process. You will be responsible for monitoring vital signs, answering patient questions, and ensuring the safety of our patients. Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting with patient transfers, administering medications and treatments as directed by the nurse or physician, and reporting any significant changes in a patient’s condition.

• Maintaining a safe environment for the patient, family, and staff.

Who You Are:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Current Nursing Assistant License in the State of New Hampshire.

BLS certification required. Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) certification preferred.
