Job summary

Columbia Mental Health, a Transformations Care Network member, is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in Glen Burnie, Maryland. You will provide outpatient individual and family therapy, guided by a collaborative clinical team and a commitment to culturally sensitive care.

This role includes supervision opportunities, timely documentation, and coordination with psychiatrists and other professionals. A $3,000 hiring incentive is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in a relevant field.
• Active professional license in Virginia and/or Maryland or licensure eligibility.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in mental health.
• Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong communication and rapport-building skills.
• Efficient documentation and administrative task management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new clients.
• Provide outpatient individual and family therapy tailored to client needs.
• Develop crisis, safety, relapse, and wellness plans.
• Participate in case consultations, meetings, and discharge planning.
• Ensure timely billing, documentation, and insurance authorization forms.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, dietitians, and staff.
