Job summary

Advanced Correctional Healthcare, Inc. seeks a licensed behavioral health professional to provide screening and psychoeducation for detainees in a correctional setting.

Under supervision, you will collaborate with custody and medical staff to monitor, manage, and treat detainee behavioral health concerns, including care for isolated individuals. The role emphasizes documentation, CQI, and continuity of care with county services; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a Behavioral/Social Science field is required.
• Current licensure with clinical specialty from the appropriate state licensing board preferred.
• CPR certification must be obtained prior to hire and maintained.
• Hands-on or online certifications are accepted.
• Must be able to practice independently.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, provide behavioral health screening of detainees referred by facility staff or identified during booking.
• Provide individual and/or group psychoeducation and skills-based interventions.
• Assist custody and medical staff in monitoring behavioral health for referred detainees.
• Coordinate with custody and medical staff in the management and treatment of detainees with behavioral health concerns.
• Monitor and assess therapeutic support of segregated and isolated detainees.
• Support and supplement activities of county behavioral health services in the stabilization of at-risk detainees.
• Coordinate with county behavioral health services for continuity of care and discharge planning/case management via sharing of pertinent patient information.
• Complete documentation as well as maintain records for referral tracking and continuous quality improvement (CQI) under supervision.
• Demonstrate commitment and dedication to providing behavioral health support and provide training to solve problems and make lives easier.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
