Job summary

Nebraska Medicine in Omaha is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner for Psychiatric Emergency Services. This part-time role (0.6 FTE, 24 hours) involves 2 overnight 12-hour shifts per week from 8pm to 8am, on-site in Omaha, collaborating with the health care team to assess psycho-social needs and provide evidence-based intervention.

Under supervision, you will determine social, psychological, and discharge planning needs, pursue LMHP/PLMHP licensure within Nebraska, and pursue NMC

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited college in a human services program which provided preparation for professional counseling/psychotherapy.
• Organizational and communication skills required.
• License-eligible as a LMHP/PLMHP in the State of Nebraska, and must obtain LMHP/PLMHP privileges at Nebraska Medicine within 6 months of transfer or hire.
• Obtain NMC Privileges as a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner within six months of transfer or hire.

• Assist in meeting social, psychological, rehabilitative, protective, financial, and discharge planning needs.
