RiverView Health in Crookston, MN is seeking a Mental Health Counselor for the Recovery Center in Thief River Falls. The role focuses on group therapy, individual sessions, crisis management, and coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling and MN license.
• Active MN license (LCSW/LMHC/LPC/PhD/PsyD) with no restrictions.
• Experience facilitating group therapy, preferably with older adults.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive substance use disorder assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs.
• Provide group and individual counseling using evidence-based practices.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state and agency standards.
• Collaborate with case managers and other professionals to support integrated care.
• Provide crisis intervention and coordinate referrals as needed.
• Facilitate education and support groups on relapse prevention and recovery.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
• Comply with confidentiality and ethical standards (HIPAA).
• Engage in regular clinical supervision and performance evaluations.
