Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your role will include, but is not limited to:

• Developing individualized treatment plans (ITPs) in collaboration with clients, ensuring tailored approaches that meet their specific needs.
• Supporting therapists in scoring and interpreting psychometric assessments, informing the overall treatment approach.
• Participating in supervisory sessions in cooperation with the site supervisor to enhance clinical skills and address any client care concerns.
• Attending and actively participating in departmental meetings, sharing insights and contributing to strategy discussions.
• Identifying organizational resources and services that can benefit clients, creating a seamless care experience.
• Completing required orientation and understanding agency policies and procedures, which are critical for effective practice.
• Preparing thoroughly for client sessions, including reviewing case notes and conducting research for innovative therapeutic approaches.
• Engaging in small group supervision or seminars aimed at reviewing session recordings, thus refining therapeutic techniques and strategies.
• Maintaining detailed and organized client records in both written and electronic formats, crucial for continuity of care.
• Coordinating with partner agencies to facilitate client services, ensuring a holistic treatment approach.
• Conducting consultations with clients and collaborating with other mental health professionals to optimize treatment outcomes.
• Writing comprehensive case notes and assessments that reflect client progress and the effectiveness of interventions.
