Job summary

Achieve Beyond Pediatric Therapy & Autism Services in Long Island, NY seeks a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) to support children with diverse needs in homes, clinics and community settings. The role offers a flexible schedule and travel across Nassau and Suffolk counties.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, educate families on intervention strategies, and document progress while following individualized plans for each child and family served.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed LMSW in New York State.
• 1–2 years experience with children birth–5 preferred.
• Must be a team player with patience and professionalism.
• Fluency in another language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing instruction and ABA services to children birth–3 in natural environments.
• Educate families and caregivers on intervention strategies to enable carry-over.
• Work in homes, daycare centers, preschools, clinics and other community settings.
• Follow therapy plans and document progress; prepare progress reports.
• Maintain child records and confidentiality in line with HIPAA and regulations.

Job Responsibilities for a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW):

• Provide ongoing special instruction and/or ABA services to children (ages birth-3) in their most natural environment.
• Educate families and caregivers on applicable intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over.
• Work in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare homes/centers, preschools, clinics, and other community settings.
• Follow the unique therapy plan established for a family/child, plan for ongoing treatment and address identified goals while documenting progress.
• Prepare progress reports as indicated.
• Maintain child records and confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA, state and federal regulations). Required records must be submitted within the established timelines.

Requirements for a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW):

• Must have a passion for working with children and families!
• Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the State of New York
• 1-2 years of experience working with children birth–5 is preferred but not necessary
• Must be self-motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus!

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including but not limited to:
• Driving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to ascend and descend staircases.
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods of time.

Starting Rate: Hourly$52.00-$58.00
Compensation is determined based on experience and education and will be discussed during theLicensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW)Job interview process.
