The NOW Durham is seeking part-time Massage Therapists to provide therapeutic massage and maintain a calming environment for clients. Our ideal candidate will have a Massage Therapy License, specialize in various techniques, and possess excellent guest service skills.

Responsibilities

• Share the healing power of touch to inspire and transform through the benefits of massage therapy.
• Provide therapeutic massage through a variety of modalities (Prenatal, Sports, Stretching Techniques, etc.).
• Maintain service room to standards. All supplies are provided.
• Will consider qualified candidates beginning their careers in massage therapy that possess the right qualities, as well as demonstrate innate talent for, and understanding of, therapeutic massage.

Requirements

• Mobile and adaptable, with knowledge of Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports & Stretching techniques. Prenatal & energy work a plus.
• Good overall guest service skills, dedicated professionalism, and positive attitude.
• Desire to be part of a team that has an infectious passion for health and wellness.
• License/certification required in State of North Carolina. Must present a license/certificate at interview and maintain it throughout employment if hired.
• Acceptable availability during prime earning potential periods including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands of the Job

• Must be able to stand and exert well‑paced mobility.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill room resetting tasks and all massage service protocols. Requires grasping, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity.
• Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.

Job Type: Part‑time

Pay: $50.00 – $68.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week

Experience

• Deep tissue massage: 1 year (Preferred)
• Prenatal massage: 1 year (Preferred)
• Stretching techniques: 1 year (Preferred)

License / Certification

• Massage Therapy License (Required)
