Job summary

Groton Chiropractic and Massage in Groton, CT is seeking a medically oriented massage therapist to join our busy clinic. This part-time, in-person role focuses on medical massage for treatment series, sports massage, and limited relaxation massage. You can choose Mondays, Wednesdays, or Saturdays (or two or three days).

Responsibilities

Looking for a medically oriented massage therapist to work on our team here at Groton Chiropractic and Massage. We are a busy chiropractic and massage office. We primarily offer medical massage for patients coming in for a series of treatments for a specific condition, plus sports massage, and a limited amount of relaxation massage.

You could choose either Mondays or Wednesdays or Saturdays or two or three of these days. We schedule appointments for you and you would be paid $35 per hour plus keep all tips.

An ideal candidate for this position will understand that a majority of our clients come in for 30 minute appointments for specific areas of concern, such as left trapezius, right sciatica, or headaches. We are looking for a therapist who is interested in targeting these areas specifically and with intention, rather than a more general spa massage. Each treatment is tailored to the needs of the individual client, not a "cookie cutter" routine. This provides an opportunity for challenge and growth for the therapist, and deep healing and benefits for the clients. If you would like to learn additional clinical skills treating conditions commonly found in a chiropractic and medical massage office, we could workshop with you for these hands skills and medical knowledge.
