Job summary

Equinox in Washington, DC is seeking a results-driven Licensed Massage Therapist to join our team. You will provide deep tissue, sports, prenatal, and Swedish massages across clinics, while embracing a multimodal approach and movement science to enhance client outcomes.

The role offers both full-time and part-time opportunities with competitive pay, benefits, and access to club perks, including Personal Training, Pilates, Spa and Shop.

Qualifications

• Active DC massage therapy license.
• Ability to build treatment programs and retain clients.
• Evening and weekend availability (full-time or part-time).
• Strong understanding of anatomy and movement in relation to soft tissue manipulation.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform 25, 50, 80, and 110-minute massages (deep tissue, sports, prenatal, Swedish).
• Analyze client needs and create individualized treatment plans.
• Ensure room cleanliness and comply with all shift requirements.
• Maintain SOAP notes and comply with state regulatory board rules.

The Licensed Massage Therapist’s job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Performing 25, 50,80, and 110-minute deep tissue, sports, prenatal and Swedish massages in a professional and comfortable setting
• Analyzing client current needs and creating a programmatic treatment plan
• Ensuring that the room is cleaned after each treatment and at the end of each shift
• Remain compliant with all state regulatory boards in regard to intake forms, waivers, and SOAP notes

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have the following attributes:

• Must possess a valid DC license or certification
• Ability to generate new business and retain clients by providing treatment programs
• Evening and weekend availability a must (Part-time and Full-time positions)
• In depth understanding of anatomy and movement in relation to soft tissue manipulation
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Willingness to learn and positive energy
• Computer literate
• Ethical

Pay Transparency

Full-time practitioners working an average number of 20 hours per week per pay period can potentially earn ~ $45,000-$65,000
