Taos Ski Valley, Inc. seeks a Licensed Massage Therapist to provide massages and body services to resort guests in The Spa, following professional protocols and state licensure.
The role emphasizes guest care, product knowledge, and cleanliness of the treatment space in a fast-paced alpine environment. Eligible candidates hold a current NM massage license, have strong guest-service skills, and can work weekends/holidays/evenings.
As a Massage Therapist, you offer resort guests an opportunity to connect with the solitude of the valley and culture of Taos within the comfort of a serene spa. You pay attention to detail and ensure you put a personal touch that says every guest is special. You have the knowledge and ability to perform massages and body services that meet the guidelines and expectations as laid out by the Spa Manager as well as within the guidelines established by your current licensure within the State of New Mexico. You maintain the highest level of product knowledge and have a complete understanding of all spa services offered. You know the ingredients in products and can explain their benefits to guests and help answer any guest questions in a positive and professional manner.
As Blake Hotel staff, you are knowledgeable about Taos Ski Valley, The Blake Hotel and The Spa and able to provide direction to guests to include packages offered, hours of operation, class schedules of The Spa & Fitness Center, mountain statistics and the adventurous offerings of our scenic surroundings. You try to remember unique things about each guest’s experience and reach out to them post-visit. You are responsible for cleanliness in your designated treatment room and follow checklists to ensure room cleanliness between each guest as well as at the end of your shift.

Taos Ski Valley, Inc. is often a fast-paced work environment, especially during Holiday and Peak days. TSVI is located in a high-altitude alpine environment. Position may require travel on uneven, snow-packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold, and/or humid conditions. Must be able to work in close quarters with spa guests and other staff. Work conditions will include exposure to a variety of odors and smells as well as different cleaning supplies and skincare products.
The Licensed Massage Therapist position requires you to lift up to 25 pounds on a frequent basis and occasionally group lift up to 50 pounds. This position requires you to be able to talk, hear, smell, stand and walk 80-90% of the time and to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend 10-20% of the time.
This position will require you to clean floors, surfaces and spa machinery and tools like hot stones, hot packs, hot towel cabinet and electric treatment tables. You will be asked to work with and apply a variety of skincare products and ingredients to meet different guest needs and treatment protocols. You will spend about 5% of the job on the computer and cellular phone navigating scheduling software and human resources software.
