The Mary Campbell Center in Delaware seeks a licensed Massage Therapist to provide professional massage and relaxation therapies tailored to residents' needs. You will assess health history, develop individualized plans, and document progress in confidential records to support overall wellbeing.

You must hold a Delaware Massage Therapy License, pass the NCBTMB, carry malpractice insurance, and have at least two years of licensed massage experience.

POSITION SCOPE

The Mary Campbell Center is a non profit active treatment facility that is home to 68 residents. The Massage Therapist is responsible for providing professional therapeutic massage and relaxation strategies tailored to the residents needs. Treatment modalities are used to promote physical, mental, and emotional relaxation, flexibility, pain relief and overall well being. The role involves assessing resident's needs, reviewing medical information, applying appropriate massage and relaxation techniques, using appropriate precautions, consulting healthcare professionals, and maintaining accurate treatment records, while ensuring a safe, clean and comfortable environment. The Massage Therapist works within the established professional scope of practice and ethical and regulatory standards set by the Licensure Board of the State of Delaware and The National Certification Board of Massage Therapy.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

The Massage Therapist at the Mary Campbell Center must be a good person of high character who consistently works with a positive therapeutic presences and demonstrates compassion and understanding for residents with varying degrees of disability.

Licensing and Certification

Maintain current Massage Therapy License in Delaware and malpractice insurance. Have to have passed the National Certification Exam and maintain certification requirements for the National Certification Board of Massage Therapy.

Experience

Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Licensed Massage Therapist. In the state of Delaware a Licensed Massage therapist must have a Delaware Business License and Liability Insurance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Perform professional massage therapy services using appropriate techniques and treatment protocols.
• Conduct resident consultations to assess health history, physical condition, and treatment goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on resident needs and preferences.
• Monitor resident comfort and response during treatments and modify techniques as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and confidential resident records, treatment notes, and progress documentation.
• When appropriate, education clients on relaxation techniques, self care practices and wellness strategy.
• The Mary Campbell center provides clean linen and a clean safe and sanitary treatment environment with the help of a massage therapist.
• Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, linens, and supplies before and after appointments.
• Adhere to all applicable licensing requirements, professional standards, and organizational policies.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with all residents, colleagues, and other healthcare or wellness professionals.
• Recognize conditions that require referral to a physician or other qualified healthcare provider Follow and collaborate with physicians orders, recommendations and restrictions..
• Manage appointment schedules.
• Promote a positive client experience through professional, courteous, and respectful service.
• Participate in training, staff meetings, and continuing education activities as required.
• Maintain client confidentiality and comply with applicable privacy regulations.

Performs other duties as necessary such as transport residents and order supplies.
