Job summary

Excelsia Injury Care seeks a Massage Therapist to provide personalized care for patients with acute pain after traumatic injury. Therapists work under a chiropractor’s treatment plan to improve patients’ quality of life and recovery outcomes.

The role involves preparing and sanitizing treatment rooms, communicating with patients and staff, and occasionally assisting with front-desk or related tasks during downtime.

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania Massage Therapy license is required.
• Experience working with musculoskeletal injuries preferred.
• At least two years of massage experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the massage room before each session.
• Sanitize the massage room between patients and at shift end.
• Communicate with patients, colleagues, and the ordering chiropractor.

*Please note that this role is paid by hour rather than by massage. Assisting the front desk as needed during downtime is required.*

Job Summary

The Massage Therapist will give personalized care to patients who are suffering from acute pain post-traumatic injury. The patients are prescribed massage therapy by the treating chiropractor, and the successful Massage Therapist will build rapports with these patients, and furthermore: improve their overall quality of life through effective treatment.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare the massage room
• Sanitize the massage room in between patients and at the end of a shift
• Communicate with patients, coworkers, and ordering Chiropractor
• Deliver personalized care to patients, depending on their injuries and needs
• The Employee will be cross trained as a PR/MA/CA and will be expected to assist with other tasks when not working with a massage patient.
• Arrive to work punctually
• Other duties as assigned

Who You Are

• Stamina to perform 50-minute massages, for the entirety of a shift
• Hand-eye coordination

Education and Experience

• Active Pennsylvania Massage Therapy license required
• Experience working with musculoskeletal injuries
• At least two years of experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of activity
• Physical strength and stamina – to comfortably massage patients for 50 minutes at a time
• Ability to massage for the entirety of a shift

Physical/Mental Requirements

Sitting, standing, walking, reaching above shoulder length, working with body bent over at waist, working in kneeling position, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, working with arms extended at shoulder length, lifting maximum of 20 lbs.
