Role Description

The Licensed Massage Therapist role is a full-time, on-site position located in Burr Ridge, IL. In this role, the therapist provides professional massage services tailored to client needs, including relaxation and therapeutic sessions, while maintaining a safe and comfortable environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting thorough client consultations, delivering customized bodywork, advising on stress management and wellness practices, and recommending appropriate follow-up services or enhancements. The therapist maintains accurate treatment records, adheres to spa protocols and hygiene standards, and collaborates with spa staff to ensure an exceptional guest experience. This position also involves supporting membership retention efforts by educating clients about ongoing wellness programs and available services.

Qualifications

• Ability to deliver high-quality bodywork, including Body Massage and Therapeutic Massage, in accordance with industry standards.


• Proficiency in specialized techniques such as Shiatsu and other therapeutic modalities beneficial to client well-being.


• Strong Customer Service skills, with the capacity to build rapport, listen actively, and respond to client feedback.


• Knowledge of Stress Management principles and the ability to incorporate them into client education and treatment plans.


• Active state massage therapy license in Illinois and compliance with all local regulations.


• Graduation from an accredited massage therapy program and completion of required training hours.


• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, based on spa needs.


• Commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and ongoing continuing education.


• Experience in a spa, wellness, or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
