Role Description

The Licensed Journeyman Electrician is a full-time, on‑site role based in Nixa, MO. This role is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in commercial settings, including wiring, panels, fixtures, and equipment. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting blueprints, performing troubleshooting on electrical issues, and ensuring all work complies with local codes, safety regulations, and company standards. The electrician will collaborate with project managers and other trades, document work performed, and maintain tools and materials in good working order. The role may also involve mentoring apprentices, coordinating with inspectors, and responding to service calls as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in electricity and electrical work, including safe handling of electrical systems and components.
• Proficiency in maintenance & repair tasks such as installing wiring, panels, fixtures, and performing routine system checks.
• Skilled in troubleshooting electrical issues, diagnosing faults, and implementing effective corrective actions.
• Familiarity with principles of electrical engineering as they apply to construction projects and system design.
• Current Journeyman Electrician license in Missouri (or ability to obtain as required by state and local regulations).
• Demonstrated knowledge of NEC, local building codes, and workplace safety standards (e.g., OSHA practices).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical documentation with attention to detail.
• Reliable work ethic, effective communication skills, and ability to collaborate with diverse project teams.
