Job summary

Loenbro Southwest in Pueblo, New Mexico is seeking a Licensed Journeyman Electrician for a project-based role in heavy industrial environments. You will install, start-up, troubleshoot, commission, and service industrial equipment and systems, often reading complex drawings and layouts and collaborating with a team.

Ideal candidates are NM-licensed, with journeyman experience in instrumentation and industrial electrical systems, and capable of training apprentices.

Qualifications

• New Mexico licensed electrician preferred.
• Journeyman skill level experience in instrumentation and industrial electrical systems.
• Experience in electrical and pneumatic process controls.
• Must be dependable, work hard and willing to put in the hours needed.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Willing to submit to pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screen.
• Basic computer knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Install, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of industrial equipment and systems.
• Read and understand overview drawings, one-line drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Layout conduit, cable tray, and overall jobsite installations.
• Work with and train apprentices on the job.
• Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
• Maintain rapport with customers and protect confidentiality of service information.

Position Overview: Loenbro Industrial Services is looking to hire Licensed Journeyman Electricians for the New Mexico area. This is a project position for candidates who have a passion for safety and have experience in the heavy industrial environment. The Journeyman Electrician will work independently or as part of a team which will be responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of industrial equipment and systems.

Job Duties:

• Serves existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigating complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems.
• Establishes service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests.
• Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.
• Keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
• Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.
• Up-dates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
• Accomplishes operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
• The Electrician will follow and perform other instructions and other related duties as set forth by management.
• Capable of reading and understanding overview drawings, one-line drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Ability to layout conduit, cable tray, and overall jobsite installations.
• Work with and train apprentices on the job.

Skills/Qualifications:

• New Mexico licensed electricianpreferred.
• Minimum Journeyman Skill level experience in instrumentation and industrial electrical system.
• Experience in electrical and pneumatic process controls.
• Must be dependable, work hard and willing to put in the hours needed.

Potential Hazards:

• Outside most of the time.
• Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures.
• Limited working surfaces.
• Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors.
• Exposure to areas with limited visibility.
• Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights).
• Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time monthly for required tasks.
• If driving is required, valid driver license and proof of insurability is required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.

Essential Requirements:

• Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of two miles per day, Standing
• Sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel.
• Use of respirator if position requires.
• Driving if required to travel.
