Job summary

Motivated and Empowered Inc. seeks a Licensed Independent Social Worker to provide behavioral health services at Circleville Juvenile Correctional Facility. This part-time role delivers direct care to youth, including assessments, therapy, and trauma-informed interventions.

You will collaborate with facility staff and our leadership team to ensure coordinated, responsible care. The position requires an Ohio LISW license and in-person service delivery at the facility.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio LISW license or eligibility.
• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with justice-involved youth or correctional/behavioral health settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual therapy sessions for youth using evidence-based trauma-informed approaches.
• Facilitate group treatment sessions related to substance use, trauma, or behavioral needs.
• Develop and maintain treatment plans and clinical notes in compliance with agency and DYS requirements.

Position Overview

Under the Ohio Department of Youth Services Bureau of Behavioral Health Services partnership, theLISWwill provide direct behavioral health services to youth with identified mental health or behavioral health disorders at theCircleville Juvenile Correctional Facility.

The LISW will deliver both individual and group treatment sessions to support rehabilitation, recovery, and positive behavior change among youth. The professional will collaborate with facility staff, case managers, and Motivated and Empowered Inc.’s leadership team to ensure that each youth receives comprehensive, trauma-informed, and goal-oriented care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provideindividual therapy sessionsfor assigned youth on the mental health caseload, using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches.
• Facilitategroup treatmentsessions related to substance use, problematic sexual behavior, trauma, or other identified behavioral needs.
• Develop and maintaintreatment plans, clinical notes, and documentation in compliance with Motivated and Empowered Inc. and DYS requirements.
• Conductclinical assessmentsand submit reports summarizing youth progress, strengths, and barriers to success.
• Collaborate withDYS facility staff, behavioral health teams, and interdisciplinary partners to ensure coordinated care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case reviews as needed.
• Maintain professional ethics, confidentiality, and compliance with all state and agency standards.
• For dependently licensed staff, ensure all services are provided under proper supervision and maintain required supervision logs.
• Provide all servicesin personat the Circleville Juvenile Correctional Facility.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Ohio license from one of the following boards:
• Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, & Marriage and Family Therapist Board(LISW),
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field required.
• Minimum2 years of experienceworking with justice-involved youth or within a correctional or behavioral health setting preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and culturally responsive service delivery.
• Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Must pass aBureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI)andFBI background check.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a secure, structured environment.
• Must be able to providein-person serviceswithin the facility.
• Hours:10 hours per week
• Pay Rate:$55-$65 per hour
• Schedule:Determined by youth caseload and facility coordination
