Job summary

Beltone in Western Pennsylvania is seeking a Pennsylvania-licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist to join our patient-centered care team. This is an opportunity for an experienced HIS to hit the ground running, build meaningful patient relationships, and practice hearing healthcare the right way.

You'll own the patient experience from evaluation through fitting, follow-up, and long-term care, conducting evaluations, selecting treatment options, fitting and programming devices, and educating

Qualifications

  • Current Pennsylvania license as a Hearing Instrument Specialist.
  • Strong clinical and communication skills.
  • Professionalism, reliability, and excellent follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently while being a strong team player.
  • Genuine desire to help people hear better and live better.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive hearing evaluations and interpreting results.
  • Recommending, fitting, programming, and troubleshooting hearing technology.
  • Educating patients and their families about hearing loss and communication strategies.
  • Developing long-term relationships with patients and providing exceptional follow-up care.
  • Maintaining accurate clinical and patient records.
  • Collaborating with our Patient Care Coordinators and clinical team.
  • Participating in community and physician outreach when appropriate.
  • Helping patients make informed decisions without high-pressure sales tactics.
  • Continuing to develop your clinical knowledge and expertise.
