Job summary

Wachter, Inc. is seeking field technicians to install and service access control, CCTV, and intrusion systems at retail sites. You will run low-voltage cables, conduit, and door hardware, while troubleshooting to ensure all systems meet code standards.

The role requires reading blueprints, using smartphones and email, and traveling 75–100% with flexible shifts. A company vehicle is provided after orientation; training and certifications are offered as part of growth.

Responsibilities

• Install & Service: Maintain Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Alarm systems at retail sites.
• Fieldwork: Run low-voltage cables, conduit work, drill concrete, and install door strikes/maglocks.
• Test & Troubleshoot: Ensure full system functionality and code compliance.
• Collaborate: Provide on-site/remote support with Project Managers.

What You'll Do:

• Install & Service: Maintain Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Alarm systems at retail sites.
• Fieldwork: Run low-voltage cables, perform conduit work, drill concrete, and cut in door strikes/maglocks.
• Test & Troubleshoot: Ensure full system functionality and compliance with local and federal codes.
• Collaborate: Partner with Project Managers and provide on-site/remote technical support.

What We Need From You:

• Experience: Hands-on experience with commercial Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion systems. (Fire alarms and data cabling a plus).
• Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints; proficiency with smartphones, email, and spreadsheets.
• Travel & Flexibility: Willingness to travel extensively (75–100%) with flexible shifts.
• Requirements: Valid driver’s license with a clean record (No DUI/DWI in 3 years). Must have basic tools, PPE, and reliable personal transit for use during initial training.

$30 - $50 an hour
