Ballast Wax, an EWC franchisee, is seeking a Licensed Esthetician/Wax Specialist in Strongsville, OH for in-person work. You’ll perform high-quality waxing in your private suite, build lasting guest relationships, and grow a loyal book of business within a nationally recognized brand.

We offer ongoing training, brand education, and a path for growth with a performance-based earning structure. Both full-time and part-time schedules are available, with evenings and weekends included.

Qualifications

• Active Esthetician or Cosmetologist license required in the applying state.
• Availability for evenings and weekends; full-time and part-time schedules offered.

As a Wax Specialist at European Wax Center, you're the expert in the room. Guests trust you with their skin, their comfort, and their confidence. WHAT YOU'LL DO

Guest Experience & Service Delivery

• Deliver professional waxing services in accordance with EWC brand protocols and licensing requirements
• Greet every guest with warmth, professionalism, and enthusiasm
• Educate guests on post-wax care, service frequency, and what to expect
• Build genuine relationships that keep guests coming back - and referring friends

Sales & Guest Retention

• Recommend skincare products and service packages that genuinely serve your guests
• Consistently achieve rebooking, product sales, and Wax Pass goals
• Leverage your product knowledge and consultative approach to drive retention
• Contribute to center-wide performance targets

Hygiene, Safety & Standards

• Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized wax suite at all times
• Adhere to all sanitation standards and state licensing laws without exception
• Uphold brand standards and model the EWC guest experience

Growth & Team Culture

• Participate in ongoing training, skill development, and center meetings
• Support fellow team members and contribute to a positive, inclusive environment

WHO YOU ARE

You have the license. Now let's build the business.

• You hold an active Esthetician or Cosmetologist license in the state where you're applying - this is required.
• You care about your guests beyond the service. You remember names, ask about their skin, and build trust one appointment at a time.
• You're comfortable recommending products and services. You educate confidently and let the results speak for themselves.
• You take sanitation and standards seriously. Your suite is always guest-ready and your protocols are never compromised.
• You're a learner. Whether you're brand new or experienced, you show up to training ready to grow.
• You're available when guests are - evenings and weekends included. Full-time and part-time schedules available.

WHAT WE OFFER

Compensation

• Performance commissions and bonuses - adding $5–$15/hr as you build your book
• Tips on every service - earned directly by you
• Base Rate: $10 / Hour
• The more you grow your guest book, the more you earn - it's that direct
