Job summary

Serenity Esthetics in Grand Rapids, MI is hiring a Licensed Esthetician to join our growing team. We offer a welcoming spa environment where you’ll educate clients about skincare, develop effective treatment plans, and provide personalized facials.

You’ll conduct comprehensive skin assessments, recommend services and home-care routines, and perform treatments like facials, HydraFacial, and dermaplaning where allowed by license. Sanitation and record-keeping are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Active Michigan Esthetician License required by start of employment.
• Strong understanding of skincare principles, facial treatments, skin analysis, and product recommendations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a busy spa team.
• HydraFacial, microdermabrasion, and dermaplaning experience preferred; chemical peels and microneedling a plus, where permitted by license.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional facials tailored to each client's skin concerns and goals.
• Conduct client consultations and skin assessments to choose the right services.
• Recommend individualized treatment plans, products, and home-care routines.
• Perform services within professional standards and licensing requirements.
• Keep accurate client records, treatment notes, and skincare history.
• Follow sanitation, disinfection, and infection-control protocols.
• Build long-term client relationships and work closely with the front desk and fellow estheticians.
