Job summary

Brunswick County is seeking a licensed Electrician to troubleshoot and repair electrical controls, and to layout and install new electrical secondary service including panels, breakers, disconnects, and switches. The role includes logging HVAC equipment and performing related troubleshooting and repair tasks as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Technical school diploma plus 5+ years in general construction trades and/or building maintenance, or equivalent experience.
NC State Electrician's License required or obtained within 24 months of employment.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoots and repairs electrical controls.
Lays out and installs new electrical secondary service including panels, breakers, disconnects, and switches.
Logs HVAC equipment; troubleshoots and repairs some HVAC systems.
May perform other duties such as moving furniture, repairing or replacing door locks, unclogging sinks, toilets and drains using hand or power equipment.
