Job summary

GEM Plumbing & Heating is seeking a Licensed Electrician to service, repair, maintain, and install electrical systems for residential customers. You will educate customers on services, products, and financing options while ensuring safety and code compliance.

Responsibilities include installing wiring, diagnosing issues with test equipment, planning layouts, supervising apprentices, and preparing project sketches.

Qualifications

• Must hold Electrical Master or Journeyman license and provide license details.
• Completed High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of trade school in Electrical and ongoing education.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, fixtures.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems using test equipment and hand tools.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Inspect systems for hazards and compliance with codes.
• Advise on potential hazards and continued operation of equipment.
• Test circuits with ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes for safety.
• Plan layout and installation based on job specs and local codes.
• Direct and train apprentices in installation, maintenance, or repair.
• Prepare sketches or blueprints to locate wiring and equipment.
