Fox Service Company, a Southern Home Services Company, is seeking an Electrical Field Supervisor to lead electricians, generator technicians, and installers while growing the service sector. The role emphasizes supervision, budgeting, and ensuring quality workmanship across a range of residential projects.

You will manage staff, schedules, tools, and training, with focus on customer satisfaction and efficient service delivery for the Austin area.

Qualifications

• TX Journeyman electrical license or above.
• TDLR license or certification.
• 5+ years of experience in residential electrical work.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Knowledge of gas piping, electricity, and plumbing.
• Strong supervisory, communication, computer, and math skills.
• Customer service oriented with a quality workmanship focus.
• Experience with generators preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drives profitable revenue growth while ensuring exceptional customer service.
• Resolves customer issues and complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Evaluates workload and schedules service work to maximize profits.
• Creates and manages budgets.
• Ensures materials and equipment are ordered and used for scheduled jobs.
• Schedules repairs for parts to minimize downtime.
• Generates reports and reviews reports with management.
• Instructs crews on proper use of materials and quality workmanship.
• Reviews payroll to ensure proper employee pay.
• Ensures tools are available and maintained.
• Assists dispatching to match skillsets to jobs.
• Evaluates staff and training needs.
• Provides on-the-job training and support to employees.
• Manages and develops staff, including hiring, terminating, discipline, rewards, scheduling, and meetings.
• Additional duties as assigned.

About this role:

The Electrical Supervisor oversees our Electricians and Generator Technicians and Installers and is responsible for the growth of the business sector.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Drives profitable revenue growth while ensuring exceptional customer service
• Resolves customer issues and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Evaluates workload and schedules service work in a way that best utilizes manpower and maximizes profits.
• Ability to create and manage budgets.
• Ensures that materials and equipment are ordered and dispensed for scheduled jobs.
• Schedules repairs for parts to ensure minimal down-time in job completion.
• Generates reports and reviews reports with management.
• Instructs crews on the proper use of materials and quality workmanship.
• Reviews payroll records to ensure that employees are paid properly.
• Ensures that employees have proper tools for the job and that they are properly maintained.
• Assists the dispatching operation to ensure appropriate skillset selection for the type of service.
• Evaluates staff to determine training requirements.
• Provides on-the-job training and support to employees.
• Manages and develops our staff, which may include some or all of the following: hiring, terminating, and disciplining of employees, rewards and recognition of performance and customer service, scheduling employees, setting work priorities, conducting staff meetings, counseling employees, evaluating performance, and directing work assignments to ensure effective production.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• TX Journeyman electrical license or above
• TDLR
• 5+ years of industry experience in the residential electrical industry
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Working knowledge of gas piping, electricity, plumbing
• Strong supervisory, communications, computer, and mathematical skills
• Great Attitude with a dedication to quality work
• Customer service oriented
• Prefer experience and familiarity with Generators

The physical requirements of this job include:

• Lifting 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Climbing ladders, accessing attics, navigating tight spaces, driving, entering crawlspaces, pushing, carrying, pulling, using hand tools, and performing fine detail work.
• Ability to drive.
• Working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, attics, crawlspaces.
• Ability to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
• Use hands to handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
• Regularly stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch.
• The work requires regular exposure to extreme temperatures both indoors and outdoors, such as heat or cold, and adverse weather conditions such as wind, rain, ice or snow.
