Job summary

Universal Health Services invites applications for a part-time Licensed Dietitian at Rockford Center in Newark, DE. The role includes assessing nutritional status and crafting individualized care plans for patients across ages within a behavioral health setting.

You will participate in interdisciplinary rounds, educate patients and caregivers, and ensure diet instructions are understood and followed. Weekend/after-hours coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed dietitian in the State of Delaware (DE).
• CPR certification and Handle with Care training within 90 days of employment.
• Two (2) years of related experience; at least one (1) year in a clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze medical records and patient interviews for hospitalized patients.
• Document findings and care plans in the DCH electronic medical record system.
• Educate patients and caregivers on dietary modifications for recovery.
• Review and modify patient room service meal selections; communicate with Food and Nutrition Departments.

Licensed Dietitian opportunity is part-time and offers daytime hours.

Rockford Centeris a 138-bed mental health facility located in Newark, DE, providing easy access to a full complement of inpatient and partial behavioral health programs for children and adolescents, adults, and older adults. Rockford is the only child inpatient behavioral health facility in DE, offers an experienced and tenured senior management team, and serves New Castle County and northern Maryland.

Position Summary:

In this rewarding role, you will assess the nutritional status and provide individualized nutrition care plans and education specific to patient needs.

Responsibilites:

• Analyze medical records and/or patient face-to-face interview for hospitalized patients utilizing specialized knowledge and skills.
• Document findings, actions and summary assessments while following up on diet instructions and comprehension in DCH electronic medical record system.
• Educate and council patients of all ages including caregivers on modifications of diet required for continued recovery.
• Review and modify patient room service meal selections as needed being sure to communicate with Food and Nutrition Departments and providers.
• Attend interdisciplinary team patient rounds.
• Provides information to the medical team, including doctors, nurses, physical therapists, and pharmacists.
• Must be available when needed to perform assessment and document individualized care plans using remote computer access during off hours.

Qualifications

Requirements:
