Qualifications

• Active Dental Assistant license in Massachusetts is required.
• Dental Radiology Certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent on-the-job training.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing and passing instruments and materials.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection control standards.
• Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and documenting treatment details accurately.
• Provide patients with pre- and post-operative instructions to ensure proper care and recovery.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper disposal of hazardous materials.
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with staff to optimize clinic operations.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and answer questions to promote dental health awareness.

Education

Active Dental Assistant license in Massachusetts

Dental Radiology Certification

High school diploma or equivalent

Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent On-the-job training

Current CPR certification
