Job summary

Complete Building Services (CBS) seeks a Chief Engineer in Washington, DC to oversee operations of a large commercial facility. The role requires a DC Third Class Stationary Engineer License, a background check, and 3+ years of relevant facility experience.

You will supervise subordinates, manage CMMS, coordinate daily maintenance, and ensure QC across all building systems, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid DC Third Class Stationary Engineer License.
• Must pass a background check.
• Three years of facility maintenance experience in a similar size/complexity.
• Experience with BAS/EMS and MEP systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand building systems.

Responsibilities

• Assign work to subordinates using CMMS to maintain building operations.
• Provide Quality Control for subordinates and subcontractors.
• Perform diagnostic and repairs on building systems.
• Prepare work schedules.
• Train Contractor employees in building maintenance.
• Coordinate daily maintenance and repair work for on‑time delivery.
• Prepare solicitations for goods and services as needed.
• Administer CMMS requirements daily.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and project tracking software.
