Job summary

AppleGate Recovery is seeking a full-time Licensed Counselor to join our addiction treatment program in Louisiana. The role supports patients enrolled in Medication Assisted Treatment for opioid use disorder, applying evidence-based practices within a trauma-informed framework.

The counselor collaborates with doctors, nurses, and a multidisciplinary team to evaluate progress and develop individualized care plans, ensuring quality patient outcomes and adherence to state regulations.

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana licensure - LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, LRC.
• Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals.
• Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population.
• Ability to collaborate with compassionate and knowledgeable counseling team members.
• Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service at regularly scheduled intervals based on patient need, best practices and state regulations; coordinate all services throughout treatment.
• Conducts initial assessment and evaluation to determine eligibility for services.
• Complete Bio-psychosocial assessment.
• Establish individualized treatment plan with each patient and review as clinically indicated.
• Respond, as needed, to patient grievances and complaints.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
• Will provide support to 4 other locations/clinics
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor.
