Job summary

Health Center at Galloway in New Jersey is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA/ OTA) to assist with the plan of care under supervision of a licensed therapist. The role focuses on collaborative care and accurate documentation to support residents’ rehabilitation goals.

The COTA will work with an interdisciplinary team, supervise aides as appropriate, and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines while delivering high-quality rehabilitation services for residents.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited college with at least an associate’s degree in physical therapy or occupational therapy.
• Licensed/certified as a Physical Therapy Assistant or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the designated state.
• Knowledge of governmental and regulatory guidelines in healthcare settings is preferred.
• Current state licensure in the respective discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitation care under the plan of care and supervise aides as directed.
• Collaborate with supervising therapist to communicate resident condition and responses.
• Document care and outcomes in accordance with center and accrediting standards.
• Contribute to center processes and participate in in-service training.
