Job summary

Northern Rivers Family of Services is seeking a clinician in a fee-for-service role to provide outpatient mental health counseling to individuals, families, and couples. Services may be office- or tele-mental health-based, with a schedule Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, evenings, and Saturday by appointment.

The clinician works within an interdisciplinary team, handles caseloads, develops treatment plans, and coordinates with prescribers and community supports to improve client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling required.
• Experience in human services, case management, or related direct care within human services preferred.
• License and/or Limited Permit eligible (LMHC/LCSW/LCSW-R) preferred.
• Good standing with the NYS Office of the Professions.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of clients from birth to 65 years old, providing assessments, diagnosis, and individual/family therapy.
• Create initial and review treatment plans and progress notes for scheduled appointments.
• Collaborate with on-site prescriber, medical and mental health providers, schools and community supports.
• Attend Behavioral Health Center staff meetings twice a month.
• Participate in supervision; frequency based on licensure level or needs.
• Provide referrals and linkages to community supports and services.
