Job summary

Claratel Behavioral Health seeks a Licensed Clinician to join the Co-responder Program in Decatur, GA. You will perform on-site clinical assessments, crisis intervention, and connect individuals to resources, working in partnership with local police to reduce hospitalizations and arrests.

The role involves homeless outreach, community engagement, and coordinating follow-up services, with supervision from the program manager. Must hold GA licensure or be pursuing licensure within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Current license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Georgia, OR master’s level Counselor/Social Worker with commitment to obtain License within 6 months of hire.
• At least two years of mental health/substance use disorder experience in assessment, crisis intervention and stabilization.
• Must possess basic computer and typing skills; CPI training and CPR current.

Responsibilities

• Screening, clinical assessment, mental status evaluation, therapeutic intervention and family support in the community.
• Homeless outreach and engagement with community partners.
• Evaluate safety risk and initiate 1013 or 2013 as appropriate.
• Provide therapeutic de-escalation and crisis intervention.
• Coordinate with receiving facilities for crisis stabilization.
• Complete documentation for each call and follow-up visit.
• Maintain professional communication with clients, families, staff, and law enforcement.
