Carroll Counseling, part of the Optum family, seeks a Licensed Clinical Behavioral Therapist to join our Mount Airy, MD team. The role focuses on treating diverse mental health needs with evidence-based approaches, while maintaining thorough EMR documentation and supporting growth through marketing profiles.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s in psychology or related field and an active Maryland license (LCSW/LCSW-C/LCMFT/LCPC).

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, social work, or related counseling field.
• Active, unrestricted license in Maryland (LCSW, LCSW-C, LCMFT/LMFT, LCPC/LPC).
• 2+ years of professional behavioral health experience preferred.
• Experience providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples and families.

Responsibilities

• Screen and assess patients for common mental health and substance use disorders.
• Provide treatment using CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based methods.
• Track treatment response and monitor symptoms and side effects.
• Maintain up-to-date EMRs and clinical documentation, complying with regulations.
• Contribute to online directories and marketing efforts.
