Job summary

CentralCare Incorporated is hiring a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join the Los Angeles Air Force Base community in an Internal Behavioral Health Consultant (IBHC) role. You will collaborate with primary care teams to deliver integrated, evidence-based behavioral health care for active-duty service members and families.

This full-time onsite position offers a mission-driven environment at LAAFB, with a Monday–Friday schedule, competitive pay around $51 per hour, and dedicated

Qualifications

  • MSW from a CSWE-accredited program.
  • Active, unrestricted LCSW license in any U.S. state, D.C., Puerto Rico, or U.S. Virgin Islands.
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience within the last 36 months with individual, evidence-based counseling.
  • Experience using EMRs and digital documentation; trauma therapy protocols training (CPT, PE, EMDR).
  • Trauma-focused practice with CPT, PE, or EMDR regularly (weekly) in past two years.
  • Adult mental health assessment, diagnostics, and treatment planning; group therapy is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate referrals to community and government services.
  • Assess psychosocial functioning and plan/implement treatment with patient and family.
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and provide treatment to diverse individuals.
  • Apply medical/mental health terminology and treatment procedures.
  • Implement modalities with individuals, families, and groups to meet goals.
  • Provide counseling/psychotherapy within licensure bounds.
  • Offer consultation on psychosocial needs and health care compliance.
  • Participate in peer review, research, or training activities at the MTF.

Schedule: Monday to Friday- 7 am- 4 pm PT or 7:30 am to 4:30 pm PT Onsite Clinic Setting Onbase

What You’ll Do

As part of the Air Force Medical Home (AFMH) model, you’ll play a key role in optimizing whole-person care by:

  • Coordinate appropriate referrals to community and other Government agencies for services.

  • Independently assess the psychosocial functioning and needs of patient and their family members and formulate and implement a treatment plan, identifying the patient problems and strength , weaknesses, coping skills and assistance needed, in collaborationist with patient , family and interdisciplinary ament team.

  • Independently conduct psychosocial assessments and provide psychosocial treatment to a wide verity of individuals from various socio - economic, cultural, ethnic, education and other diverse backgrounds.

  • Use medical and mental health diagnoses, disabilities and treatment procedure. This includes acute, chronic, and traumatic illnesses/ injuries, common medications, and their effects. side effects, and medical Terminology.

  • Implement treatment modalities in working with individuals , families, and groups who are experiencing a variety of psychiatric, medical and social problems to achieve treatment goals.

  • Independently provide counseling and/or psychotherapy services to individuals, groups, couples, and families. Must practice within the bounds of licenses of certification.

  • Provide consultation services to other staff about the psychosocial needs of patient and the impact ofpsychosocial problems on health care and compliance with treatment.

  • Participate in professional peer review case conferences, research studies, or other organizations required at the MTF.

Who We’re Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program.

  • Active, unrestricted LCSW license in any U.S. state, D.C., Puerto Rico, or U.S. Virgin Islands.

  • At least 24 months (2 years) of clinical experience within the last 36 months, including individual, evidence-based counseling.

  • Experience using EMRs and working in digital documentation systems. As required to meet clinical competency requirements specified in the Service- specific credentialing instructions and verification of completed training of 1 or 2 evidenced based trauma therapy protocols (eg. Cognitive processing, Prolonged Exposure, Eye Movement desensitization and reprocessing)

  • Trauma-focused experience:Must have been providing CPT, PE, or EMDR regularly (weekly) in the past two years.

  • Adult mental health experience:Must have experience with mental health assessment, diagnostics, and treatment planning for adults. Group therapy experience is acceptable but not required.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior work in integrated behavioral health or primary care within the last 3 years.
