Job description

Position Overview

We have an urgent need for a full-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at the Naval Medical Center at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, NC.

Sign‑on Bonus: $5,000 payable with first paycheck!

Responsibilities

• Coordinate appropriate referrals to community and other government agencies for services.
• Assess the psychosocial functioning and needs of patients and their families; formulate and implement a treatment plan in collaboration with the patient, family and interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and provide psychosocial treatment to a wide variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Use medical and mental health diagnoses, disabilities and treatment procedures, including acute, chronic and traumatic illnesses or injuries, common medications and their effects, and medical terminology.
• Implement treatment modalities with individuals, families and groups experiencing psychiatric, medical and social problems to achieve treatment goals.
• Provide counseling and/or psychotherapy services to individuals, groups, couples and families within the bounds of license or certification.
• Provide consultation services to other staff regarding the psychosocial needs of patients and the impact of psychosocial problems on health care and treatment compliance.
• Participate in professional peer review case conferences, research studies, or other organization‑required activities at the facility.

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8.5‑10.5 hours between 6:00 am and 8:00 pm with a 30‑minute lunch. Not to exceed 40 hrs/week. No weekends, no holidays.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited School of Social Work (CSWE).
• At least one year of post‑graduate experience within the last three years as a social worker.
• Active, unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from any state.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) healthcare provider certification.
• Ability to pass a Government background check and secure a security clearance.

Benefits & Compensation

Base salary: $41.00 – $43.50 per hour as a W2 employee, or $62.00 per hour ($128,960) as a 1099 contractor.
