Genie Matthews and Associates is assisting a premier hospital in Northeast Oregon in recruiting a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). The role offers four 10-hour days and a compensation up to $88k per year within a full-time, day-shift schedule with 1:8 call.

The LCSW will perform psychosocial assessments, crisis interventions, and care coordination across inpatient, outpatient, and community resources, in a collaborative rural healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current, active LCSW license or eligible for licensure in Oregon.
• 1–2 years of clinical social work experience, preferably in hospital/clinic settings.
• Comfort with living and practicing in a rural community.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments, mental health screenings, and diagnostic evaluations.
• Provide crisis intervention, short-term counseling, and medical social work services.
• Coordinate care transitions between inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and community resources.
• Educate patients and families on disease pathology, coping mechanisms, and healthcare decisions.
• Identify barriers to health and arrange for post-discharge care (home health, rehab, equipment).
• Document all encounters accurately in the EHR for billing and continuity of care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to discuss complex cases and improve outcomes.

A premier hospital in beautiful Northeast Oregon is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join their expanding behavioral healthcare staff. Operating on a highly desirable schedule of four 10-hour days, this role offers an exceptional work-life balance in a supportive, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments, mental health screenings, and diagnostic evaluations for patients and families.
• Provide evidence-based crisis intervention, short-term counseling, and medical social work services to support patients dealing with acute or chronic medical conditions.
• Partner directly with physicians, mid-level providers, and nursing staff to coordinate seamless care transitions between inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and community-based resources.
• Support, counsel, and educate patients and their families on disease pathology, coping mechanisms, and complex healthcare decisions.
• Identify barriers to health and safety, facilitate emergency interventions when necessary, and arrange for post-discharge care, including home health, rehabilitation, or medical equipment.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and secure documentation of all patient encounters within the electronic health record system for billing and strict continuity of care.
• Participate actively in multidisciplinary team rounds to discuss complex cases, optimize clinical outcomes, and champion holistic patient wellness.

Qualifications:

• Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from an accredited institution
• Current, active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or eligible for immediate licensure in the state of Oregon
• 1–2 years of clinical social work experience, preferably within a hospital, clinic, or integrated healthcare setting
• Comfort with and a genuine interest in living and practicing within a rural community setting
• Excellent crisis intervention, communication, and interpersonal skills with a strong collaborative mindset
